5 Tricks of shaitan (which can take us to hell-fire)
Narrated Masruq (Radi-Allahu ‘anhu):
I said to ‘Aisha, “O Mother! Did Prophet Muhammad see his Lord?” Aisha
said, “What you have said makes my hair stand on end! Know that if somebody
tells you one of the following three things, he is a liar.
Whoever tells you that Muhammad saw his Lord, is a liar.” Then Aisha
recited the Verse:
‘No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Most
Courteous Well-Acquainted with all things.’ (6.103) ‘It is not fitting for
a human being that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration or from
behind a veil.’ (42.51)
‘Aisha further said, “And whoever tells you that the Prophet knows what is
going to happen tomorrow, is a liar.” She then recited: ‘No soul can know
what it will earn tomorrow.’ (31.34)
She added: “And whoever tell you that he concealed (some of Allah’s
orders), is a liar.” Then she recited: ‘O Apostle! Proclaim (the Message)
which has been sent down to you from your Lord..’ (5.67) ‘Aisha added. “But
the Prophet saw Gabriel in his true form twice.”

A beautiful reminder from the book “Don’t be Sad” by Al-Qarni
A great sister shared this with me and I thought I would share it with you too :)
From the chapter: “Today is all that you have”
When you wake up in the morning, do not expect to see the evening—-live as though today is all that you have. Yesterday has passed with its good and evil, while tomorrow has not yet arrived. Your life’s span is but one day, as if you were born in it and will die at the end of it. With this attitude, you will not be caught between an obsession over the past, with all its anxieties, and the hopes of the future, with all its uncertainty. Live for today: During this day you should pray with a wakeful hearth, recite the Qur’an with understanding, and remember God with sincerity. In this day, you should be balanced in your affairs, satisfied with your allotted portion, concerned with your appearance and health.
Organize the hours of this day, so that you make years out of minutes, and months out of seconds. Seek forgiveness from your lord, remember him, prepare for the final parting from this world, and live today happily and at peace. Be content with your sustenance, your wife/husband, children, your work, your home, and your station in life
“So hold that which I have given you and be of the grateful.”
-(Quran, Ch. 7 verse 144)
O you who persists on mistakes and wrong doings;
O you who has turned away from what the most Loving
and Compassionate commands;
O you who obeys the falsifier of the path and the creator of calamities .
How long are you going to insist on your misbehavior?
How long are you going to keep yourself distant from your Lord?
How long will you seek from this world what you cannot have,
and keep away from the other world by that which you cannot possess?
Neither are you sure of what Allaah prepared of sustenance for you,
nor are you satisfied with that which He has commanded for you.
O my brother, by Allaah! Admonition does not seem to benefit you!
Afflictions do not seem to threaten you!
Time does not leave you and the call of death does not reach your ears!
As if, you poor man, would live forever and
you weren’t meant to expire and be forgotten?
al Bahr ad-Dumoo’, Ibn Jawzee
Solat (Salah)
Salat (Salah)
The thing I notice most when I post pictures of people praying is how graceful their hands and feet look; also I love watching people recite prayers because of the way their voice and lip movement changes, it’s much more drawn out and soft. Ironically it’s usually those three things that help us to do harm.
Is it Haram to waste food, or not to eat all the food on your plate?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
…It is unlawful to throw away food that is still good. Rather it should be given to the poor and the needy if possible or refrigerated for future use. It should not be disposed of unless there is fear of it causing harm to those who consume it, or that it may become disgusting for people, in this case it should be given to domestic animals, like hens, cats, etc.
However if the food is rotten, there is no objection to throwing it way. The Muslim should avoid exaggeration in expenditure. He should be moderate and should not spoil his money. Allah says: “Eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allâh) likes not Al-Musrifûn (those who waste by extravagance). (Al-A’raf 7:31)
Allah also says: “And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes).” (Al-Furqan 25:67)
On the other hand, it is not obligatory to eat everything that is on the plate. Rather, one should eat little to keep healthy. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said:” The child of Adam has not filled any receptacle worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the child of Adam to eat small bits of food that keep him healthy. Now if he wants to eat much any way, he should give a third to the food, a third to the drink and a third (of his stomach) to let him breathe comfortably.”(Ahmad)
If the person eats the food and little of it remains then he should eat that.
Anas said: “The prophet ordered us not to leave anything in the plate and he said: “You do not know in which portion of your food Allah has put the Barakah “(Blessing). (Muslim)
Allah knows best.
Our way to Jannah
Everyone dreams of and demands a life full of happiness. In some belief, happiness comes with effort and hardwork. Of course nothing comes without making any effort, but ‘true’ happiness only comes by following these steps. After putting your best efforts, it is time to…
Step 1
Alhamdullilah — Be thankful
Be thankful to God Almighty for everything He has given to you.
Alhamdullilah — Be thankful
Be thankful to God Almighty for everything He has given to you.
Say “Al-ham-du-lil-lah” (every praise is just for Allah).
Be content with what you have, do not crave for what others have, because this will make you feel jealous.
Do not compare yourself with those who are ‘rich and famous’ because this will cause you bitterness and you will not be able to be thankful.
But, do compare yourself with those who are ‘poor and infamous’ and be thankful to God Almighty that you are more fortunate, Alhamdolillah.
Every time you see something beautifull and pleasant, say Alhamdulillah.
Say Alhamdolillah very often daily and God Almight shall fill your heart with happiness and shall suffice.
Step 2
Astughfirullah — Seek forgiveness
Be thankful and be content with God’s blessings, seek forgiveness from God Almighty for your slips and falls, sins, bitterness, etc.
Seek forgiveness, say As-tugh-fir-ullah. Everytime a bad thought touches to your mind.
Seek forgiveness, whenever you feel bitter either for some shortcoming of life or craving for what others have and you do not have.
Seek forgiveness, at least 5 times a day. Not only it is your duty but this is the way to be blessed by God Almighty.
Astughfirullah is a way to please Allah Rahman, God Almighty shall cleanse your heart from evil, greed and other spiritual diseases. He shall also cleanse your mind from subliminal thoughts and fill your mind with true wisdom and comfort.
Say Astughfirullah whenever a subliminal thought comes to your mind.
Say Astughfirullah whenever you see something happening against God’s teachings.

Step 3
Ista’aza — Seek God’s shelter from Satan
According to Islam, every man has a satan who misleads him towards sins and misdeeds like craving, abuse, skipping prayers, back biting, etc. The best way to get rid of satan is, Ista’aza. Say Aa-ozoo-billahi-minash-shaitaan-nir-rajeem.
Seek God’s shelter as many times a day as possible because satan has sworn to mislead humans.
Aa-ozoo-billahi-minash-shaitaan-nir-rajeem is a way to be protected by Allah Raheem, God Almighty shall protect your heart from evil, greed and other spiritual diseases. He shall also protect your mind from subliminal thoughts and fill your mind with true wisdom and comfort.
Say Aa-ozoo-billahi-minash-shaitaan-nir-rajeem whenever a subliminal thought comes to your mind.
Say Aa-ozoo-billahi-minash-shaitaan-nir-rajeem whenever you see something happening against God’s teachings.

Step 4
Sabar — have patience
You do you work with full effort and hardwork; you expect great result. Sometimes you get the expected result and sometimes you don’t. When you do not get the expected result, rather than getting bitter and complaining, have patience. Say Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon.
In holy book Quran Allah subhaan says, “Oh Believers! steady with patience and prayers. Indeed Allah is with those; who have patience”
When things go wrong unexpectedly, say Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon.
When you have a loss, say Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon. Allah Rahman shall turn your loss into your benefit.
When some dies among your family, say Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon.
When someone hurts you, say Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon instead of hurting them in return.
Dear reader, true happiness is everyone’s dream. Trust me it is at your hand. Just include these azkaar in your routine and you will feel mentally and spirtually content within few days.
Bis-millah-hir-rahman-nir-raheem before everything (work, journey, pray etc.) you start.
Al-hamdo-lillah every time you are blessed with food, comfort, sleep, gain etc.
Allahu-Akbar every time you see nature; remember Allah subhaan is the only creator or this universe and everything within.
Subhaan-Allah every time you see beauty, power, love, comfort etc.
As-tagh-fir-ullah every time you feel greedy, jealous etc.
Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon for every loss, death, pain, etc.
I pray Allah Rahman accept this effort, and give us opportunity to practise. Amin!

Dua to wake up for Fajr prayers
For a person to wake up early in order to make his/her Fajr Salaat, that
person needs to get to bed early and most importantly to read the Masnoon Duas that our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) should read, i.e. the three Quls, Aayaatul Kursi, the last two Aayaats of Surah Baqarah, and then make intention to get up for Fajr. Also, you need to keep the alarm clock away from you so when it rings you must get out of bed to put if off.

أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاء وَالْمُنكَرِ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ
“Salah (prayer) restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life), without doubt.” [Al-Quran - 29:45]

“Unfortunately, sometimes we are blind to the blessings we have: the freedom to choose what to do every morning, the blessing of feeling the warmth of the sun in the daytime and seeing the serene moonlight at night, the ability to attend classes in colleges and institutes, masajid (mosques) and halaqas (study circles). Taking a moment to remember the less fortunate helps us recognize Allah’s bounties on us and strengthen our determination to continue seeking His pleasure. It is also a reminder to us: Do we need to be forced into extreme hardship before learning to benefit from the opportunities around us? Or will we be from the saabiqoon (forerunners) who take advantage of Allah’s blessings on us to develop ourselves and our societies, despite the distractions of society and the desires of our self?”
A’ishah radi Allahu anha narrated “Once, when I saw the Prophet in a good mood, I said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! Supplicate to Allah for me!
” So, he said: “O Allah! Forgive ‘A’ishah her past and future sins, what she has hidden, as well as what she has made apparent.”
So, I began smiling, to the point that my head fell into the lap of the Messenger of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam out of joy.
The Messenger of Allah said to me: “Does my supplication make you happy?” I replied: “And how can your supplication not make me happy?”
He then said: “By Allah, it is the supplication that I make for my Ummah in every prayer.”
Karbala - When Skies Wept Blood
This is a beautiful documentary on the story of Islam and why the message of Islam is still being carried on today: On the tenth day of the first month, in the year 61 AH of the Islamic Calendar ? on the hot, desert plains of Karbala, a small group of noble individuals were massacred by an army of thousands. The victims were devout followers of the religion of Islam. The perpetrators, led by Yazeed, son of Muawiyah, claimed to follow that very same religion. It was a day ?When Skies Wept Blood?. The sacrifice is unrivaled from the dawn of time ? yet the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions is neglected by many. ”Karbala: When Skies Wept Blood” examines the final days of the life of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and sets out to establish the reasons behind the tragedies that took place at Karbala in the year 61 of the Islamic Calendar. Using unique footage, and talks by leading scholars, the viewer is presented with an excellent presentation for followers of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), and as an introduction to followers of other faiths. This feature documentary is brought to you by red tears, a new media production company for Islamic presentations. Since their humble start in September 2006, red tears aims to produce media such as this documentary, to shed light on the religion of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

If you recite this name of Allah in times of fear, Allah SWT will protect you from all calamities, mishaps and losses.
Insya Allah
Some people just believe it’s bida’ah to recite the tasbeeh. I did asked my ustazah and she said it is not bida’ah to call upon Allah, anytime, and how many times when you feel to.
“Say: Call upon Allah or call upon Ar-Rahman (the All-Compassionate); by whatever name you call upon Him, to Him belong the most beautiful Names.” (Al-Isra’: 110)
“The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on him by them.” (Al-‘A’raf :180)
Al-Hasan Al-Basri – Allah have mercy on him – said,
When a man sought knowledge, it would not be long before it could be seen in his humbleness, his sight, upon his tongue and his hands, in his prayer, in his speech and in his disinterest (zuhd) in worldly allurements. And a man would acquire a portion of knowledge and put it into practice, and it would be better for him than the world and all it contains – if he owned it he would give it in exchange for the hereafter.
Ibn Al-Mubarak, Al-Zuhd wa Al-Raqa`iq Vol.1 p.156.

Niyyat, niyat, niyah refers to the intention behind an action. Because Allah swt will weigh your deeds according to what you intended since “actions are but by intentions.”
Niyya is used in two senses by the scholars of Islam. The first is to distinguish some acts of worship from others, e.g., salat al-zuhr from salat al-‘asr or to distinguish acts of worship (‘ibadat) from mundane matters (‘adat). This is the primary usage of the term in the books of the fuqaha`. The second usage is to distinguish an action that is performed for the sake of Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, from an act done for the sake of Allah and others, or just for the sake of other than Allah. This second meaning is that which is intended by the gnostics (‘arifun) in their discussions of sincerity (ikhlas) and related matters. This is the same meaning that is intended by the Pious Ancestors (al-salaf al-salih) when they use the term niyya. Thus, in the Qur`an, the speech of the Prophet (Sws) and the speech of the Salaf, the term niyya is synonymous, or usually so, with the term desire (irada) and related terms, e.g., ibtigha`.
‘Umar b. al-Khattab narrated that the Prophet (S) said:
Deeds are [a result] only of the intentions [of the actor], and an individual is [rewarded] only according to that which he intends. Therefore, whosoever has emigrated for the sake of Allah and His messenger, then his emigration was for Allah and His messenger. Whosoever emigrated for the sake of worldly gain, or a woman [whom he desires] to marry, then his emigration is for the sake of that which [moved him] to emigrate.”
Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
An act that is not done sincerely for the sake of Allah may be divided into parts:
The first is that which is solely for display (riya`) such that its sole motivation is to be seen by others in order to achieve a goal in the profane world, as was the case of the Hypocrites in their performance of prayer, where Allah described them as “When they join prayer, they go lazily [with the purpose] of displaying [themselves] to the people.”
At other times, an action might be partially for the sake of Allah and partially to display one’s self in front of the people. If the desire to display one’s self arose at the origin of the action, then the action is vain. Imam Ahmad reports that the Prophet (Sws) said, ”When Allah gathers the first [of His creation] and the last [of His creation] for that Day for which there is no doubt, a crier will call out, ‘Whosoever associated with Me another in his actions let him seek his reward from other than Allah, for Allah is the most independent of any association (fa-inna allaha aghna al-sharaka` ‘an al-shirk).” Al-Nasa`i reported that a man asked the Prophet (S), “What is your opinion of one who fights [in the way of Allah] seeking fame [in the profane world] and reward [from Allah]?”? The Prophet (Sws) replied, “He receives nothing [by way of reward from Allah’.” The Prophet (Sws) repeated this three times and then said, “Allah accepts no deeds other than those that are performed solely for His sake and by which His face is sought.” This opinion, namely, that if an act is corrupted by any desire to display one’s self (riya`) then that act is rejected, is attributed to many of the Salaf, including, ‘Ubada b. al-Samit, Abu al-Darda`, al-Hasan al-Basri, Sa’id b. al-Musayyib and others.
Nothing is more difficult on a person than sincerity because the person gains no share of that [act]. Ibn ‘Uyayna said that Mutarrif b. ‘Abdallah would repeat the following prayer, “O Allah! I seek Your forgiveness for that which I sought your repentance but to which I subsequently returned; I seek Your forgiveness from that which I rendered to You from my self, but then, I was not able to maintain faithfully; and, I seek Your forgiveness from that by which I claimed I desired your Face but my heart became corrupted with that which I did.”

“If Allah loves someone, He will give that person faith.
If Allah loves that person a little bit more, He will give that person strenght and perseverance to practice His religion perfectly.
And If Allah loves that person a little bit more, He will make the life on the Dunya difficult for that slave of His to test how far is the love of His Slave to Him.”
