Silent Success: Mbororo Refugees to Cameroon
In 2005, Aladji Usmanou, 65, fled the Central African Republic on foot, walking for 14 days with his cattle to Gbiti in Cameroon.
When his family joined him, his son had been kidnapped and he had to pay a ransom. “In the Central African Republic, we were men of dignity. Here it is a pity, we are refugees, but what can we do against God’s will? So we bear it. .. I am praying for this destiny not to be given to our children.”
