Ya Allah...I miss my husband...

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said,
”When a husband and wife look at each other with love,
Allah looks at both of them with mercy.”
♥ ~ Sahih Bukhar

With good manners...

“With good manners, you understand the knowledge.
With the knowledge, your actions are corrected.
With actions, wisdom is obtained.
With wisdom, you understand zuhd (abstinence) and granted it’s benefits.
With zuhd, comes abandoning the world.
With abandoning the world, comes desire for the Hereafter.
With desire for the Hereafter, the pleasure of Allah - the Mighty and Majestic - is obtained.”

Yoonus Ibn Ubayd r.a.

Ya Allah

Ya Allah, jadikanlah kami dan seluruh kaum muslimin orang-orang yang menjaga solat dan menjadi orang-orang yang dimuliakan dengan nikmatknya syurga.

Ya Allah, keep this Ummah strong.

Ya Allah, keep this Ummah strong.

I am speechless

I am speechless. Really? Really?…
This is what is happening in Libya right now, this photo is just too powerful and sad.
Look at the boy’s face, how he’s trying to hold his mother’s (possibly grandma’s or aunt’s face)…
I am deeply upset.
I just can’t believe it.
A lot of kids have probably gone through or will go through what this boy just experienced.
I just had to post this photo.

Mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful

“And He gave you from all you asked of Him.
And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them.
Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.”
[The Noble Qur’an - Surah Ibrahim 14:34]

Today in Palestinian history

In February 1994, an American-born Jewish settler in Hebron, Baruch Goldstein, opened fire in al-Haram al-Ibrahim crowded mosque, killing 29 and wounding 125 more.
Additional people were crushed to death in the panic to flee the mosque and in rioting that followed. Goldstein was carrying his IMI Galil assault rifle, four magazines of ammunition, which held 35 bullets each and hand grenades.
More than 400 Muslims were in the mosque for early morning prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. The attacker sneaked into the mosque and hid behind a column as the Muslims were performing their dawn prayers. As they bowed their heads in unison, he opened fire on them with a machine gun. A number of young men were able to get over to where the attacker was and to protect others in the mosque with their bodies.
And within moments Goldstein had been brought to the ground by the young men. But due to the heavy gun fire, the mosque had turned into something on the order of a slaughterhouse, filled with pools of blood. The mosque itself was part of a complex of buildings sacred to both Jews and Muslims, because it was believed to contain the 4,000-year-old burial tomb of Abraham & his wife Sarah. As such, the place had long been a site for religious confrontations. News of the massacre immediately led to riots in Hebron and the rest of the occupied territories and an additional 19 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli Defense Forces within 48 hours of the massacre.

I still have yet to understand how come people don’t care about this.
I still don’t understand how people don’t care about Palestine as much as they cared about Egypt and Libya. Unlike Egypt and Libya, Palestine has been undergoing violence way before most of our parents were born. The massacres and chaos never stops in Palestine. But the world doesn’t care.

Read this, please.

The sun, earth & moon all move & the distance between them is stable and regularized.

Astronomers found that the moon’s movement is 18 kilometers per second, while the Earth’s is 15 kilometers and the sun’s is 12 kilometers.

The sun, earth & moon all move & the distance between them is stable and regularized.

This was explained in the Holy Quran fourteen centuries ago.

The Holy Quran says “And the sun Runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him) the exalted in Might, the All Knowing. And the moon we have measured for her Mansions (to traverse) Till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date – stalk. It is not permitted to the sun to catch up the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day: Each (just) swims along in (its own orbit) (According to Law)

Dead Hearts

Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah: While thousands of Muslims are killed all over the world, and while tens of thousands are imprisoned and tortured for calling to the path of Allah and for enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, most Muslims remain remarkably silent and have no worry except for the material things of life. Their hearts have been filled with the love of this life and the forgetfulness of the Hereafter.

Allah says in the Qur’an: “You will indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of life, even more than those who do not believe in Resurrection. Each one of them wishes he could be given a life of a thousand years. But the grant of such life will not save him even a little from due punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do” (Al Baqarah, 2:96). Many Muslims today have become so much attached to their life that their desire is to dwell among their family, house, money and commerce. They have forgotten that matters of the Hereafter should come before matters of this life and that we must strive to follow the orders of Allah, not just those we find easy and convenient to follow. Some Muslims today claim that it is better to perform extra prayers and extra fasting rather than enjoin the good and forbid the evil or defend the lives of weak Muslims. Such people would even blame the Muslims who strive to perform these obligations.

This is what Ibn al-Qayyim had to say about such people: ”The Shaitan has misled most people by beautifying for them the performance of certain voluntary acts of worship such as voluntary prayers and voluntary fasting while neglecting other obligatory acts of worship such as enjoining the good and eradicating the evil, to the extent that they do not even make the intention of performing them whenever they are able to. Such people are considered by the scholars to be on the bottom of the scale of religion: For the essence of our religion is to perform what Allah ordered us to do. The one who does not perform his obligations is actually worse than the one who performs sins. Anyone having some knowledge about the revelation of Allah, the guidance of the Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, and the life of the companions would conclude that those who are pointed at today as the most pious people are in fact the least pious. Indeed, what kind of piety is there in a person who witnesses Allah’s sanctities being violated, his religion abandoned, the Sunnah of His Messenger shunned, and yet remains still with a cold heart and a shut mouth’ Such a person is like a dumb Shaitan! In the same way the one who talks falsehood is a speaking Shaitan. Isn’t the misfortune of Islam due only to those who whenever their life and food are secure, would not care about what happens to the religion? The best among them would offer a sorry face. But if they were challenged in one of the things their heart is attached to like their money, they would spare no efforts to get it back. These people, besides deserving the anger of Allah, are afflicted with the greatest calamity without even knowing it: They have a dead heart. Indeed the more alive a person’s heart is, the stronger its anger for the sake of Allah and the more complete his support to Islam and Muslims.”

10 Things That Bring The Love of Allah SWT.

Ibn Qayyim RA said that there are ten things that bring about the love of Allah SWT.

1) Recitation of the Qur’ an with reflection and with understanding of its meanings.

2) Seeking closeness to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after having performed obligatory ones, for that leads one to the highest levels of love.

3) Remembering Allah during every situation - with one’s time, heart and deeds, one’s share of that love is to the degree of one’s share in that remembrance.

4) Preferring what He loves to what you love when your desires are strong.

5) Allowing your heart to reflect on His Names and Attributes.

6) Reflecting on His many favors and blessings, both the apparent ones and hidden ones, for that leads to His love.

7) Having your heart softened as it is worshipping Allah.

8) Being alone with Him in worship when He descends during the last third of the night. And this means to invoke Him, to recite His Speech, to stand with all sincerity and with good manners and with good submission, and then to end that with repentance and with seeking His forgiveness.

9) Sitting with those who are truthful in their love of Allah.

10) Staying away from all that creates barriers between the heart and Allah.

Spread the Awareness!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!

Now I know that we all have been keeping up with the ongoing revolutions around the world. Libya in particular has been…subhanallah I cannot describe what I am feeling right now. I was on tumblr earlier and as I was scrolling down I saw a few pictures. It was horrible. I had goosebumps allover and the coldness made me quiver even harder. :’(

There was 2 dead bodies with their bottom halves blown off. I’m not too sure what was going on and I don’t want to get into much detail. If I had known, I wouldn’t have looked. Now I can’t get it out of my head. The blood. The violence. Their deathly faces. The soldiers in Libya are using these really big-sized bullets to shoot at civilians. These bullets are designed to shred things much tougher than the human body. They are used to immobilize vehicles and shoot through walls. Yet, Libyans are being killed with these? WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!

Ya Allah!

I headed to the bathroom and cried to myself. How is it that the world is so harsh?! Everyone is reblogging unapologetically for the sake of AWARENESS. How can we not have a heart to listen to the cries of our brothers and sisters across the planet? Is your heart that cold and hardened? No, I’m sure that isn’t the case.

Please make dua for our suffering brothers and sisters. We are but one Ummah. They are a part of us and are we not a part of them? Dua is our greatest weapon against the oppressors and it is our best gift to our suffering brothers and sisters.

Just imagine yourself in their situation. It’s nothing compared to the fear in their hearts. They’re the ones facing such calamities and oppression. Please do not be ignorant of this matter. Please spread awareness and let others know what is going on. I would like you and everyone to care.

Pray and make dua. Keep the Ummah in your dua’s always.

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Umar: Allah’s Apostle said,
“A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection.”
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 43, Number 622

Are you thankful?

Did you ever feel like even though you’re praying, you still feel hollow and unfulfilled?

I’m pretty sure everyone has been down that road before. I’m pretty sure every single one of us someday has treated prayer as one pillar you’re just …. obliged to do.

But what to do when one feels so helpless?

Sit down with a paper and a pen in your hand. Divide the paper with a margin in the middle. Write a numbered list of whatever could possibly be burdening you right now, from the simplest things, to big things. Done? Now, write another numbered list of the things you’re thankful for in your life. List down everything too; from the computer sitting on your lap, to this blog you can express yourself through, to the delicious pizza you had last night, to the awesome new jeans you just got, to the safe country you’re living in, to the clean water you’re drinking, to your eyesight, to your parents. Just pour everything down.

You couldn’t write down everything you’re thankful for, yeah? The list is just way too freaking long! It’s actually uncountable!

Do you see what I mean? Can I see a smile on your face now?

That’s why we’re obliged pray. Because praying is thanking and praising God for all that he’s given you. Because when you pray, you’re supposed to remember the uncountable list, and how it’s -compared to the other list- like an ocean compared to a lake! Whenever you remember this, you remember that God could definitely flip the list around if he wants to, but he doesn’t, because he loves you.

Do you see it now? He wants you to be happy, that’s why he’s given you an infinite list of blessings and things to make you happy. He loves you and wants to see you happy, that’s why he ordered you to pray five times a day, start everything with His name, and finish everything thanking His name, so you could remember that you’re too blessed to be stressed, and smile again and again and again.

Muhammad SAW

Muhammad, peace be upon him, was a shy, reticent man who lived among his people with such high moral character they called him al-Amîn - the Trustworthy.

The Prophet’s unique physical appearance, his high character and willingness to sacrifice for others, are often at the essence of any description of him. According to the narrations from his Companions he can be described in the following words:

Muhammad was imposing and majestic. His face was luminous like a full moon.

He was taller than medium but not excessive in height. He had wavy hair, which he parted and it never went beyond his shoulders. He was light-skinned with a high brow. He had full eyebrows and a small space between them. His beard was full, his eyes black. His physique was supple and lithe, with a full chest and broad shoulders. When he walked, he was determined and his pace was as if he was walking down hill.

He was decisive and whole-hearted in everything he did, so intent on the task at hand that he never looked over his shoulder, even if his cloak got caught in a thorny bush.

When he spoke he was always brief and reflective. He spoke when he saw benefit and spent long periods in silent contemplation. His speech was comprehensive being neither wordy nor abrupt. He had a mild temperament and was never harsh nor cruel, coarse nor rude. He expressed gratitude for everything given to him no matter how insignificant. When he spoke, his companions lowered their heads as if birds were perched upon them. When he was silent, they felt free to speak. He never criticized food or praised it excessively. He never swore, nor did he find fault in people. He did not flatter people but praised them when appropriate.

When he did turn to speak to somebody, he used to swing his entire body around and address them full face. When he shook hands, he was never the first to withdraw his own.

People entered his gatherings as seekers and left enlightened. He would ask about his companions when they were absent often making inquiries about people’s needs. He never stood nor sat without mentioning the name of God. He never reserved a special place for himself in a gathering and sat where space was provided. He gave each of those who sat with him such full attention that everyone felt that he was the most important person in that gathering. Voices were never raised in his presence. The aged were respected for their age and the young were shown compassion for their youth.

His wives and Companions spoke of his humour and cheerfulness. He said once, “I joke but always tell the truth.”

His wife Aisha said, “he was always making us laugh in the house.” One of his names is ad-dahhak - the smiling one.

Once an old woman asked him if she would enter paradise and he replied, “Old people don’t go to heaven!” The woman was crestfallen with the answer he had provided, to which he added with a smile, “You shall enter paradise in the prime of your youth.”

And once a gruff desert Bedouin came into the mosque and prayed out loud saying, “O God forgive me and Muhammad and don’t forgive anyone else.” Hearing this the Prophet laughed and said to him, “You are limiting the vast mercy of God.”

He died on the same day he was born, in the same house he had lived in for ten years in Medina, on a small bed made of leather stuffed with palm fibres, in the arms of his beloved wife Aishah.

His dying words were, “Treat your women well, and do not oppress your servants, the prayer, the prayer, don’t be neglectful of the prayer. O God, my highest companion, O highest companion.”

Muhammad exemplifies the strong and profound relationship that each human being ought to have with his Creator, his fellow human beings, and the world around him. May Almighty God and His angels and all His creation bless him and greet him with the salutations of peace!

Amazing!

To My Sisters

To all my sisters who go through trials and obstacles to remain true to their Faith- only you know what you’re going through, and may Allah reward you for your courage. This is for you.

MashaAllah

When there is only a single star left in the sky. At that very moment the path of forgiveness will close. The writing in the Quran will vanish. The sun will lower itself with the earth. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said “who ever delivers this news to someone else. I will on the day of judgement make her/him a place in jannah”

Documentary: Islam, The global liberation of Women

A documentary to showcase the global struggle of women for liberation. It highlights the failure of the Western capitalist democratic liberal values and system to secure the respect and rights of women and presents Islam as a credible and viable alternative to truly liberate women globally, generate healthy interaction between the genders and maintain strong family units. It presents the truth about the status, rights, and role of women under the Islamic system of the Khilafah state.

A Beautiful Chat

A beautiful chat between Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal with his son (Abdullah)

Abdullah: Abi, when will we ever relax?
Imam Ahmad: With the first step we take into Jannah.

MUST SEE!!!...Remember Taqwa(fear of Allah)

If this doesn’t break your heart, I don’t know what will. I watched this yesterday for the first time and I cried, and I watched it again just now and I cried again. Verily, may Allah guide us all on the Straight Path and implant in us love for the Quran and fear of Him.

Sea Stars

Popularly known as starfish, sea stars are actually echinoderms, closely related to sea urchins and sand dollars. There are some 2,000 species of sea stars living in the world’s oceans, and many wear striking colors that provide camouflage or warn off predators.

Ancient Lobe Coral

Marine ecologist Enric Sala examines an enormous lobe coral on Kingman Reef in the South Pacific’s remote Line Islands. This coral is 500 years old, but the species was unknown to science before Sala’s discovery. Such finds aren’t shocking at Kingman, which is one of the world’s most pristine reef ecosystems. The site shows scientists how much has been lost at reefs found closer to human habitation.

Flight of the Rays

Salam all,
As you all may already know, I am so in love with the sea, sun, beach, island, nature and animals...
So I would like to share some amazing photos and information about them here from time to time...
Today's photo is photographed by Florian Schulz.

It is of thousands of Munk's devil rays migrating.
Location: Sea of Cortez off Mexico's Baja California
The aerial image won top honors and the "Underwater World" category in the 2010 Environmental Photographer of the Year awards.

German photographer Florian Schulz said the scope of the ray congregations was unknown until he and a pilot happened upon the gathering while searching for migrating whales. Perhaps just as rare is the composition Schulz captured. "I was able to show how these rays are jumping out of the water," he said, "and at the same time I'm able to show almost like an underwater photograph how there're layers and layers and layers of rays."

The International Union for Conservation of Nature lists Munk's devil rays as near threatened, due in part to their vulnerability to gill nets (hard-to-see-netting). Given ray gatherings like the one pictured you could imagine a single net could take thousands and thousands.

Are you lucky?

Salam all,

I would like to share a hadith from Rasullullah with you in the Commemoration of Maulidur Rasul this week.

Rasul Allah (SAW) said: “How lucky is that man who adopts humbleness without having scarcity, who considers himself inferior without having to beg for anything, who spends his own earned money in the right causes without disobeying Allah, who is kind to those having little means, and who remains in the company of learned men.” [Tibrani]

In this hadith we are told who an enviable person is:

1. A person who is humble despite having that which makes people proud.
2. A person who earns and spends in the path of Allah.
3. A person who is kind to those less privileged.
4. A person who benefits from the companionship of the learned.

Having wealth does not make one lucky; but having earned it honestly, by one’s own hands and, moreover, having spent it on those things which earn Allah’s pleasure, while obedient to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala), are what entitles one to be counted among the lucky.

Wealth that is accompanied by arrogance and ignorance (ignorance of what will earn Allah’s pleasure), is extremely unlucky.

Can you count yourself lucky?

Amazing sea phenomenon.

Amazing sea phenomenon.
From Quran Al-furqan verse (53)

“And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them”.

SubahanALLAH! Epic!

The Benefits of Ayat Al-Kursi

Salam and Good Morning...

On this beautiful and blessed friday al-jum`a 14 Rabi al-Awwal 1432, I would like to share with you some of the benefits of reciting Ayatul Kursi. This is a reminder for me personally and also knowledge that we should practice and share, so I hope that it will be useful for all those who reads it.
InsyaAllah.

Imam Abu Dawud writes that Wathala (Allah be well pleased with him) reported that one day a man came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and asked, “What is the most excellent verse of the Quran?” The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) replied, “Ayat al-Kursi.”
[Sunan Abi Dawud: Fada’il al-Qur’an. Imam Abu Dawud]

The reasons why Ayat al-Kursi is the most excellent verse:
1) This verse mentions the names of Allah Most High more than any other verse
(i.e. this verse contains the most remembrance (dhikr) of Allah Most High).
For example, some verses of the Quran may mention the names of Allah Most High two times, some may mention the names of Allah Most High four times, and some ten times. But in Ayat al-Kursi, the names of Allah Most High have been mentioned seventeen times.

2) Ayat al-Kursi mentions six attributes (sifat) of Allah Most High, all six being mentioned in this single verse. The attributes mentioned are:
a) The Divine Oneness (Wahdaniyyah) of Allah Most High
b) His Life (Hayah),
c) His Knowledge (‘Ilm)
d) His Kingdom (Mulk)
e) His Divine Power (Qudrah)
f) His Will (Iradah)

The benefits of Ayat al-Kursi have been mentioned in numerous hadiths. Although the Quran itself and every verse in it are of excellence, Ayat al-Kursi is certainly the most excellent verse of all its verses. This verse is called Ayat al-Kursi due to the word “Kursi” being mentioned in it.

Of all the chapters in the Quran, the most excellent chapter is Surat al-Ikhlas, and the most excellent verse is Ayat al-Kursi. One virtue of Ayat al-Kursi is that more reward is obtained for reading it than any other verse.

Ali (ra) narrates:

“I cannot understand how a person, who is a Muslim, and owner of reason (intellect) can spend the night without reading Ayatul Kursi. If you knew the benefits of it, then you will never discard it under any condition”.

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

“Whoever recites the first 4 ayats of Suratul-Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi; then the last 3 ayats of Suratul-Baqarah, will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Qur’an”

The Holy Prophet(Allah bless him and give him peace) has said:

"If one recites Ayatul Kursi before going to sleep, Allah will send an Angel to come and look after you and protect".

Imam Tirmidhi writes that Abu Hurayrah (Allah be well pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

"Whomsoever recites the first verses of Surat al-Mu’minun and then Ayat al-Kursi in the morning, will remain under the protection of Allah Most High until the evening. Similarly, whomsoever reads this during the night, will remain under the protection of Allah Most High until the morning"
[al-Jam’ al-Tirmidhi: Tafsir of Surat al-Baqarah, under Ayat al-Kursi.

In the name of Allah the Most Merciful, and Compassionate Allah
There is no god but He,
The Living, the Everlasting,
Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep,
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.
Who is there that can intercede with His, except by His leave?
He knows what lies before them and what is after them,
And they comprehend not anything of His Knowledge save as He wills.
His throne comprises the heavens and the earth,
The preserving of them fatigues Him not,
And He is the All-High, All-Glorious.
[Al-Quran: Surat al-Baqarah, Ayah 255]

May Allah Most High accept what we have written and if we have made any mistake, may He forgive us. May Allah Most High grant us the intercession of our Blessed Prophet, Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) on the Day of Judgement. Amin.

Are you thankful?

If you think you are unhappy…

If you think your salary is low…

If you think you don’t have many friends…

When you feel like giving up …

If you think you suffer in life,
do you suffer as much as he does?

If you complain about your transport system …

If your society is unfair …

Enjoy life, how it is, and as it comes

There are always those who are worse

off than we are. There are many things

in your life that will catch your eye,

But

only a few will catch your heart…

pursue those…

This post needs to circulate forever…

Ya Allah, I’m grateful to you for the blessing you have bestowed on me.
Ya Allah, Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam, my family, my husband, my health, my wealth and my beautiful life.
Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah.
